Knights of
Columbus:
Why
Join the Knights of Columbus?
Camaraderie.
Community involvement. Growing in one's faith. Supporting the
Church. Protecting one's family. These are a few of the reasons
Catholic men and their families join the Knights of Columbus.
Many
prospective Knights ask themselves:
I
don't have time to join another organization; why should I join
the Knights of Columbus?
As a Knight you can choose the
projects with which you wish to be involved in your own
community. What is more, the Order is dedicated to family life
and the many benefits it offers. From insurance to scholarships
to service and social activities and programs, all are open to
the whole family.
As a Knight
you can continue doing what you do now and you and your family
can enjoy the many benefits the Order offers.
A better
question is: Why shouldn't you be a Knight?

Alcoholics
Anonymous:
AA MEETINGS
Are available on Wednesdays from 12:00 – 1:00 PM in the church
basement.
Alcoholics
Anonymous is a fellowship of men and women who share their
experience, strength and hope with each other that they may solve
their common problem and help others to recover from alcoholism.
The only requirement for membership is a desire to stop drinking.
There are no dues or fees for AA membership; we are
self-supporting through our own contributions. AA is not allied
with any sect, denomination, politics, organization or
institution; does not wish to engage in any controversy, neither
endorses nor opposes any causes. Our primary purpose is to stay
sober and help other alcoholics to achieve sobriety.
Widowed
Support Group
Queen
of Heaven sponsors weekly meetings of To
Live Again or TLA on Tuesdays from 7:00-8:30 PM in the
church basement. To
Live Again is a support group for recently widowed
people, founded 30 years ago by a Catholic priest when dealing
with four widows who had come to him for help.
It is an All Faiths organization with 14 chapters
throughout Pennsylvania and 1 South Jersey Chapter.
The Grief Support process deals with one step per week of
the grief cycle. When
individuals feel ready, they can move on to the Social Support
Group, which involves monthly support meetings and social
activities. These meetings are held on the 2nd Monday
of each month at St. Peter
Celestine in the school beginning at 7:00 PM.
There
is no cost involved so if you or someone you know is in need of
this kind of support, women can call Rita at (856) 779-9438 and
men can call Stan at (856) 662-6754.
